Time flies, doesn't it? We've been busy here at DayZ, with tons of exciting developments. Earlier this month, we announced our next big milestone: the DayZ Frostline expansion. And now, we're thrilled to announce the arrival of game update 1.25 on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation!

🎉 Free Livonia DLC for Base Game Owners! 🎉

Today marks the start of a new era for Livonia. All current owners of the base game will receive the DLC for free! Plus, the Livonia DLC will now be included with the base game moving forward, available to all at a slightly increased price. It's never been a better time to explore new places while you're waiting for Sakhal!

🎶 New Ambient Music to Enhance Immersion! 🎶

The highlight of update 1.25 is the long-awaited addition of ambient music! We collaborated with Czech composer Dikolson to create subtle and immersive background music that enhances your experience as you traverse different areas of the game. With approximately 70 minutes of music available now and more to come, you can also enjoy a selection of tracks on Steam outside of DayZ.

🔊 Updated Firearm Sounds and Audio Improvements! 🔊

Update 1.25 brings the first rework of firearm sounds, including updated sounds for shotguns, the crossbow, and the grenade launcher. We've also rebalanced the distance at which you can hear player actions, improving overall audio immersion.

🔧 Gameplay Improvements and New Additions! 🔧

To enhance gameplay, we've limited the use of contents in nested containers through quick slots and reworked player character position synchronization to address issues like getting stuck in doorways. Plus, meet the new long-range bolt-action firearm, the VS-89, equipped with a 10-round magazine!
